Shift Pattern

The shift pattern for this post is 36 hours per week over 7 days with on call commitment.

Part‑time Consultant Post

Applications are invited for a Part‑time Consultant post which will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with clinics operating at the New Victoria Hospital and Gartnavel General Hospital.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will join a team of 17 established consultant doctors and one speciality doctor in providing care for medical inpatients at QEUH and outpatient Diabetes and Endocrine clinics across the three sites.

There will also be a contribution to the on‑call General Medicine rota which will include weekend activity in medical HDU, continuing care for diabetes/ endocrine and GIM inpatients in one of the department's 3 wards and contribution to medical receiving.

Qualifications

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a licence to practice and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded.

Non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. MRCP UK or equivalent qualification is essential.
