Overview
Our client, a large and purpose-driven UK organisation, is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a 12-month fixed-term contract (starting May 2026). This is a strategic role partnering with senior leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that drive performance, organisational effectiveness, and sustainable growth.
Operating within a hybrid working model, this role offers the opportunity to influence key business areas, including commercial operations and risk functions, while contributing to a wider organisational people strategy.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to executives and senior leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives
- Lead on organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning to ensure future capability
- Coach and support leaders in building high-performing, inclusive teams and leading change initiatives
- Use people data and insights to identify risks, inform decisions, and improve engagement and performance
- Deliver key elements of the People Strategy, aligning initiatives with business priorities and KPIs
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations and UK employment legislation to HR teams
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver programmes across talent, resourcing, and learning & development
- Champion a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex or commercial environment
- Strong expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Demonstrated experience supporting business transformation and change initiatives
- Solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices
- Experience using people data and analytics to drive decision-making
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility at senior leadership level
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with sound professional judgement
- Experience in regulated, matrix, or fast-paced environments
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or cross-functional HR projects
- Experience working closely with HR Centres of Excellence
- Familiarity with HR analytics and workforce planning tools
