Job Title: Curriculum Manager - Hair & Beauty
Location: Newcastle & Stafford College
Position: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £51,126 - £56,861
Responsibilities
- Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that is responsive to learner feedback and anticipates future demand.
- Continuously improve course performance and teaching quality across all curriculum areas.
- Provide clear leadership to curriculum staff to achieve excellence.
- Work with relevant Curriculum Leaders and Coordinators to set targets for student recruitment and success at course level (including English & Maths).
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Appropriate teaching qualification such as DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
- Proven track record of managing people to achieve excellent teaching and learning standards.
- Good knowledge of issues affecting teaching and learning within the curriculum area and the FE sector.
- Well‑organised with ability to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
- Effective communication with students and peers.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes within an FE setting.
- Experience in a Curriculum Manager (or equivalent) role.
- Experience working with employers and service providers to design programmes that meet industry needs.
- Sound knowledge of current hairdressing, beauty, and media make‑up qualifications for preparing students for industry and higher education.
