Geography ECT – Permanent Role | September Start

Location: Tower Hamlets, London

Are you a passionate and motivated Early Career Teacher of Geography ready to begin your teaching journey in a dynamic and diverse school community?

A Tower Hamlets secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic Geography ECT to join a thriving Humanities department from September on a permanent basis.

The Role:

  • Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity about the world
  • Contribute to a collaborative Humanities team with a strong culture of sharing best practice
  • Take part in the school’s ECT programme, with structured mentoring and professional development

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold (or be on track to achieve) QTS by September
  • Have a genuine passion for Geography and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Be reflective, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
