Overview

Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT – History, RE & Geography – KS3, KS4 & KS5. A supportive secondary school in the Borough of Havering is seeking a Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT for a September start. This is a full-time and permanent post.

The current Humanities Head of Department has helped the department grow, with a mix of experienced and graduate teachers. Newly qualified teachers will be enrolled on the school's bespoke ECT induction, and will work alongside a range of humanities teachers.

Experienced Humanities Teachers can take on a TLR such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities and more. The school has produced strong Progress 8 results and a creative learning environment.

  • Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT – History, RE & Geography – KS3, KS4 & KS5
  • Inspiring and motivating the younger generation
  • Working alongside a team of humanities teachers
  • TLR opportunities: KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities
  • ECTs welcome: 1:1 mentor, bespoke ECT induction, in- and out-of-house training and more
  • September Start – Full Time & Permanent
  • MPS1-UPS3 + TLR (size depending on experience)
  • Located in the Borough of Havering

Person Specification

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Humanities Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
