Purpose of the Role

To provide general broker back up support and liaise with markets and clients as a key team member of the International Property team.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Understand the London Insurance Market and International Insurance Markets.
  • Produce MRCs / endorsements and assist with wordings.
  • Work on both Open Market and Lineslip placements.
  • Facilitate processing of tax calculations and debit notes.
  • Create placement schematics, premium calculations – excellent Excel skills.
  • Use PPL or Whitespace to obtain market agreement of slips and endorsements.
  • Respond to Xchanging queries.
  • Ensure all placing, contract and closing documentation satisfies the client requirements and complies with internal procedures.
  • Be an effective team member and collaborate well with peers in the London office.
  • Use the data and analytics produced within the International Property team to monitor KPIs.
  • Escalate any potential E&Os to line management and the Legal & Compliance team at the earliest opportunity.
  • Contribute to retention of clients through planned and coordinated account renewal.
  • Support the identification and development of opportunities for account growth.
  • Ensure agreed payment terms and payment warranties are met through credit control.
  • Working with broker producers, to educate clients and manage client expectations through market, insurance, and sector briefings.
  • Assist and develop less experienced members of the team.
  • Co‑ordinate and manage client and placement records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant Insurance experience required.

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Organised and reliable.
  • Collaborative team working approach.
  • Ability to work with a range of employees at different organisational levels.
  • Accurate and attentive to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good numeracy skills and ability to work with data.
  • Ability to work towards and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.
