Team Overview
The EMEA Operations Regulatory Control Client Asset team performs a key role in a number of Client Asset processes including Client Money Calculations, Client Money Diversification, CMAR, MCAR, CASS RP, 10‑day+ break management oversight, Prudent Segregation calculations and oversight. The group acts as a central point of contact within O&T for Client Asset issues, enabling transparency and escalation.
Role Overview
This people‑management role is within the Client Asset Regulatory Control team in the Belfast Operations Control department. You will lead and develop a team of analysts, overseeing daily responsibilities such as Client Money calculation and oversight, CMAR/MCAR collation and submission to the FCA/CBI, and PS14/9 activities covering Prudent Segregation, Break Management and Shortfalls. The team continuously engages with Change Partners to identify automation opportunities, input Business Requirements, perform UAT, and update process manuals. Collaboration with O&T managers and the Client Asset & Depositor Protection Oversight Office is key.
What you'll do
- Oversee Client Asset functions performed by Regulatory Operations, escalating technology and operational issues to management and driving root‑cause analysis.
- Identify improvements to existing processes and controls, enhancing client asset knowledge within Regulatory Operations.
- Engage in key business initiatives, liaising with Change Management to provide business requirements and confirm impact to team processes.
- Challenge and improve reporting processes, articulating key risks inherent in current practice.
- Strengthen and develop the team, supporting them to become SMEs in the Client Asset field and training new hires.
- Represent Regulatory Operations at operational control forums, providing appropriate challenge on Client Asset issues.
- Act as central contact for Client Asset matters across O&T businesses.
- Support management in engaging with internal and external auditors on Client Asset matters and implement changes from audit reviews.
- Review and strengthen the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) for Client Assets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, including performance management and career development.

What we need from you
- Proven people‑management experience, including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Strong process‑lead experience.
- Ownership and execution of tasks to completion.
- Supervisory experience with a Client Asset background.
- Ability to build productive relationships across Operations, Business, CA&DPO, Compliance and Audit.
- Strong communication skills and ability to summarize key issues to management and stakeholders.
- Experience developing creative solutions to problems.
- Consistent delivery of high‑standard work under pressure.
- Team‑player mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
