Hours Monday to Friday, no weekend

Salary GBP 28,000 per annum, increasing to GBP 31,600 per annum after a successful probationary period

Role Summary

The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards before delivery, combining end-of-line inspection and audit activities. Working across both PDI and quality inspection processes, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for identifying defects, completing detailed inspections, and supporting build teams to achieve exceptional finish and compliance standards. This Quality Inspector position requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong mechanical awareness, and the ability to work within structured processes to deliver consistent quality outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector

  • Carry out full vehicle inspections, including PDI and end-of-line quality checks
  • Conduct vehicle health checks and follow manufacturer specifications and audit checklists
  • Identify defects, quality concerns, and non-conformances, escalating where required
  • Accurately complete all inspection and job-related documentation using internal systems
  • Work collaboratively with build, workshop, and quality teams to maintain productivity and standards
  • Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant, and meet final sign-off criteria
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and safe condition

Requirements of the Quality Inspector

  • Proven experience within an automotive workshop, inspection, or build environment
  • Strong understanding of PDI processes, vehicle auditing, and quality inspection standards
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to deliver a high-quality finish
  • Ability to follow structured processes and complete detailed documentation accurately
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence
