Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure composite components and tooling to support production and development requirements
- Manage supplier selection, validation and performance in collaboration with Quality, Finance and Engineering
- Negotiate commercial terms to ensure best value for money while respecting agreed budgets
- Own the end‑to‑end purchasing process, ensuring compliant, accurate and timely PO management
- Monitor lead times and proactively chase deliveries to meet project deadlines
- Support recovery actions where deliveries or projects are at risk
- Provide accurate cost estimates to support budgeting and forecasting
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and challenge avoidable costs
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing policies, processes and ways of working
- Maintain clear, accurate reporting of purchasing activity
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical understanding of composite components and manufacturing processes (Formula 1 or high‑performance engineering experience desirable)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Proven experience purchasing engineered or technical components
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of procurement best practice (CIPS qualification desirable but not essential)
- Confident negotiator with a strong commercial mindset
- Comfortable working with ERP systems (Microsoft AX preferred) and MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities
