QHSE Manager – Energy from Waste
Up to £51,500 + benefits

SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a QHSE Manager to join the leadership team of an Energy from Waste power station near Kidderminster.
This role focuses on leading health, safety, environmental and quality compliance across a high-risk, process-driven site. The successful candidate will act as the principal advisor to the Plant Manager and wider site team, ensuring legal compliance, audit readiness and a strong safety culture across all operations.
Responsibilities
- Leading all QHSE activities across the EfW facility
- Acting as the focal point for health, safety, environmental and quality matters
- Ensuring compliance with UK H&S and environmental legislation
- Supporting and leading ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 audit processes
- Conducting inspections, audits, workplace monitoring and producing clear reports
- Leading and supporting incident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting
- Liaising with regulatory bodies including HSE and emergency services
- Line management of the site Environmental Technician and covering when required
- Coaching and supporting managers, supervisors and site personnel on best practice
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar QHSE position within an industrial or heavy process environment e.g. power, waste, recycling, quarry, cement etc
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum
- Strong working knowledge of UK H&S and environmental legislation
- Experience supporting or leading ISO audits - 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Strong communication and influencing skills
