Job Description:

Founded in 2008, Ameon Utilities Ltd are an established independent connections provider (ICP), delivering expert multi-utility installations that power the construction industry. We are seeking an Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Construction and Pre-Construction departments.

As a Business Administration Apprentice your role will include:

  • Compiling Job Packs for our Construction dept. in line with the company’s high standards and our NERS/WIRS & GIRS accreditations.
  • Applying for Council Highways licenses, monitor the licenses in line with dates and information provided by the Project Managers. Closing the permits and issuing the reinstatement measures within the correct timescales stated by the local authority.
  • Updating the United Utilities Master Tracker and relaying the information to the Contracts Manager and relevant Project Manager.
  • Issuing United Utilities documentation, ie. Request for Works, SLO7, Vesting Certificates, B2B Connection Request etc.
  • Download Boris reports and save them in the correct Project folder, informing the Contracts Manager and relevant Project Manager.
  • Using Microsoft Nuance to reduce file sizes that are too large to email.
  • Issuing sub-contractor and internal site staff weekly programmes.
  • Issuing Electric, Water and Gas Whereabouts to the relevant IDNO/DNO’s.
  • Raising approved purchase orders to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Issuing Lock & Sign requests to relevant IDNO/DNO’s.
  • Downloading Utility Records for projects.
  • Taking deliveries and scanning delivery notes into the correct project folders.
  • Scanning and saving completed Job Packs in the correct project folders.
  • Updating Van Packs annually in line with our H&S advisor yearly audits.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Business Administrator L3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
