We’re the UK’s largest ports operator with a network of 21 ports around Britain. We handle around one quarter of the UK’s seaborne trade and contribute £7.5 billion to our economy every year.
It’s a story we’re proud of but it doesn’t end there. We’re transforming our business and embracing the future.
We offer a vast range of roles spanning the UK, all rooted in a culture that welcomes diversity, fosters talent, encourages internal movement and progression, and places safety as our number one priority.
ABP is the UK’s leading and largest ports group, providing essential gateways for trade and enabling green infrastructure essential for the UK’s energy transition. Our Humber region (Hull, Immingham, Grimsby and Goole) is the UK’s largest ports complex, handling 60 million tonnes of goods and a key foundation of a vital super cluster for decarbonisation.
With over £1 billion of planned investment across the Humber ports to 2030 we’re looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Projects team. You should have experience of delivering projects or programmes up to £20 m in value (or a demonstrated track record across a portfolio of schemes). In this position you will act as client‑side Project Manager leading projects from inception to completion with responsibility for scope definition, programme, budget and risk management.
Projects will be delivered across the four ports of ABP Humber with a base office at either Hull or Immingham but with necessary travel across the region, facilitating ABP’s operational delivery and supporting our sustainability strategy ‘Ready for Tomorrow’. A strong proactive approach to HSE both day‑to‑day and throughout the project lifecycle is essential.
When joining ABP you will find an environment that is both welcoming and challenging. We reward our employees well and offer a generous remuneration package, employer pension, private health insurance and a range of other benefits.
Please note that ABP undertake random screening for substance abuse and operate a zero‑tolerance policy. A medical will be required before starting this position.
We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their background, which helps us to provide a diverse and inclusive working environment.
