Job Description Support Worker Pay: £13.86 -£14.61 per hour Work Patterns -You will work rewarding long day shifts including early starts, late evenings, weekends and sleep in’s fairly planned within the rotas. Become a Support Worker in Children’s Residential Care. We welcome applicants with and without experience and from backgrounds such as education, youth work, childcare, healthcare, social care, learning disabilities, SEN and community service. Based in our welcoming home in Leek, you’ll support children and young people (ages 3–18) with learning disabilities to feel safe, valued and inspired. From helping with daily routines to sharing laughs over games or cheering on small milestones, you’ll be making a lasting difference. As a support worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Personal Care, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities through to bed time. Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping. Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support. Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects. Keep essential records for high-quality care New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role. This beautiful large five bedded detached home (previously a working farm house) surrounded by corn fields and beautiful woodland walks, our children benefit from the quiet, secluded, setting which provides access to a welcoming and truly holistic environment. All our young people personalise their bedrooms to their preference.  The home provides specialist support to young people (male, female and non-binary genders) who present with learning disabilities, pre-verbal and non-verbal, autistic spectrum disorders and other complex needs. Care approach and planning is tailored to address the specific and changing needs of each individual. The ethos of the home is to offer young people a lifestyle in which they can achieve positive outcomes in all areas.  The Team have genuine love and care for our children and provide a safe, warm home where the children are supported ‘one to one’ and are encouraged to show their feelings, to express love and inclusivity. Our children are very tactile, forgiving and humorous, with every achievement and small step, truly celebrated. Whether you’ve worked in care supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health, education, customer service, or another people-focused role, we value transferable skills such as: No experience needed – full training provided  Must hold a manual Drivers Licence (vehicles are provided at the home) Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and sleep in’s.
