About the Company

We’re representing a fast-growing tech business building a platform that helps hospitality companies manage and distribute operational data across multiple systems and third-party services.

Following recent funding and strong traction, they’re scaling their engineering team and hiring a Principal Engineer.

The Role

This is a hands-on senior IC role with a strong backend focus. You’ll be writing production code daily, shaping technical decisions, and supporting other engineers as the team continues to grow.

You’ll have real influence over architecture and how the platform evolves.

Tech

• TypeScript across the stack
• Expert at Node.js
• Serverless backend on a major cloud provider
• Relational database (SQL)

They’re looking for someone backend-leaning but comfortable working across the stack.

What You’ll Do

• Build scalable, high-quality systems
• Improve performance, reliability, and development workflows
• Contribute to technical roadmap and architecture
• Mentor engineers and support hiring

What They’re Looking For

• Strong TypeScript and backend engineering experience
• Solid understanding of system design and databases
• Cloud experience (ideally serverless)
• Track record of delivering complex projects
• Collaborative and clear communicator

Package

• Salary around £110k (Slight Flexibility)
• Hybrid: 2 days/week in Central London
