We are now looking for a Maintenance Person, permanent in our Avila Nursing Home, Bessbrook.
Hourly rate of £12.71, 32 hours per week, 9am-4.30pm Monday - Thursday, 9am-1pm Friday
Join our team as a Maintenance Person where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime
- Supervise fire drills for staff and coordinate schedules
- Some light driving duties, for example, dropping scripts off or picking up packages
- Uphold safety protocols and regulations in all maintenance activities
- Some light painting and decorating, basic plumbing and gardening skills required.
Must have full UK driving licence.Experience - Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and vendors
- Strong customer service skills to interact with external contractors
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various equipment types
- Familiarity with electrical systems and components
- Prior experience in maintenance is a plus
