An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to step into a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) role within a highly regarded, Legal 500 recognised law firm based in Reading.
This position is ideal for a senior employment solicitor looking to move away from a fee-earning role while remaining at the forefront of legal developments. You will play a key role in supporting the employment team by delivering technical expertise, maintaining know-how resources, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments in employment law and sharing updates with the team
- Drafting and maintaining precedents, guidance notes, and know-how materials
- Supporting fee earners with technical queries and complex legal issues
- Delivering internal training sessions and contributing to external seminars and client updates
- Assisting with business development initiatives, including articles, briefings, and thought leadership
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with strong experience in employment law (typically 5+ years’ PQE)
- Excellent technical knowledge and a keen interest in legal developments
- Strong drafting and research skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to deliver training and support colleagues
- A proactive and collaborative approach
