Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor of somewhere between intermediate and senior level—3‑10 years experience. The contractor comprises a group of businesses with a combined turnover of £50 m and I am looking for someone who can introduce, implement and manage the commercial success of projects within diamond drilling and steel works—architectural and structural.

You don't necessarily need experience in the above sectors. The key is the desire to progress quickly within a business where your efforts will be pivotal to the contractor's success going forward. The opportunity to climb the career ladder is genuine and achievable.

Typical working pattern: 2‑3 days in the office and 1‑2 days on site. All of the client’s projects are within an hour of St Albans.

Base salary: £45k‑75k, dependent on relevant experience. Ideally, you will have a Quantity Surveying degree, confidence in your abilities and the desire to make a positive difference to a successful medium‑sized business.

Qualifications

• 3‑10 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
• Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence in ability to manage projects.
• Desire to progress quickly within a medium‑sized contractor.
