General Manager

We're looking for a General Manager for a rural pub & hotel in Swarkestone. Salary up to £46k plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

About the pub

The Crewe & Harpur is a beautiful 17th century coach house, comprising of a popular pub & restaurant, as well as 7 boutique bedrooms, located between Swarkestone & Melbourne, Derbyshire.

The pub is a destination venue and forms part of Marston's 'Signature' collection, with a more premium food offering and styling. Its location on the riverside with a large garden means that it's particularly popular during summer.

Currently the pub is achieving weekly sales of around £28,000 which is food-led at 65% (10% rooms, 25% wet trade) with further scope to increase sales through driving garden activity during the summer season, as well as maximising on the local village trade.

There is a full senior team in place including an Assistant Manager, Head Chef and Supervisors and has been ran consistently by a General Manager who is moving internally with us.

There is 3 bedroom accommodation available onsite, as well as another small one-bedroom separate accommodation.
