A well established Central London firm is looking for a solicitor to Head their Family Law department.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Family Law department, including an existing privately funded family law caseload.
  • Supervise an associate solicitor and junior support staff.
  • Oversee business development to support growth, building on the work of the current head of department who is moving to a directorship role within the firm.
  • Participate in monthly Head of Department meetings at the office; the role is essentially fully remote with limited in-office attendance. If a client insists on a face‑to‑face meeting, attendance may be required; this is infrequent but can occur.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years’ PQE in family law.
  • Head of Department experience is essential.

Employment details

  • Role: Full-time, permanent.
  • Salary: 85k to 110k depending on experience.
  • Location: Central London with remote working; some office attendance may be required for occasional meetings, and staff located outside the South East should account for this.
