Cognisys is scaling quickly - across our client base, capabilities and global footprint.
We are now at a point where product clarity, focus and commercial discipline will define how successfully we scale.
We have already built a strong technical foundation - an AI-driven application security platform with real depth and differentiation. What we now need is someone who can take ownership of the product, take the reins and translate potential into a scalable, revenue-generating SaaS platform.
This role exists because we recognise that:
- A strong product does not emerge from engineering alone
- Product leadership must be intentional, not incidental
- Commercial success comes from clear prioritisation, disciplined trade-offs and deep customer understanding
You will play a central role in shaping how Cognisys evolves this from a highly capable product into a market-leading platform, including building a team to deliver this.
The Role
As Senior Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end product direction and execution of our platform.
You will sit at the centre of Engineering, Commercial and Customer, ensuring that what we build is not just technically strong, but valuable, usable and commercially successful.
This is not a delivery coordination role. This is a true product leadership role with real ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
- Own and evolve the product vision in partnership with the CTO and wider leadership team
- Translate customer insight, market signals and commercial priorities into a clear, outcome-driven roadmap
- Make deliberate trade-offs, focusing the business on what matters most
- Define and evolve packaging, pricing inputs and subscription tiers
- Ensure every initiative is tied to measurable business impact (adoption, retention, revenue)
Driving Product Execution
- Turn strategy into clear, prioritised plans that engineering teams can execute against
- Ensure a high bar for clarity: well‑defined problems, outcomes and success measures
- Maintain pace and momentum without compromising quality or focus
- Actively remove blockers and resolve ambiguity quickly
Customer & Commercial Alignment
- Stay close to customers – understanding real-world problems, not assumed ones
- Partner with Sales and Customer teams to ensure what is sold can be delivered
- Join key customer conversations where product credibility matters
- Translate enterprise needs into a coherent product direction, not one-off features
AI & Platform Capability Development
- Shape how AI is used across the platform – ensuring it solves real problems
- Guide the development of capabilities such as:
- Automated vulnerability discovery
- AI‑assisted remediation
- Intelligent workflows and integrations
- Balance innovation with pragmatism - avoiding “AI for AI’s sake”
Product Discipline & Insight
- Define success metrics upfront for all product initiatives
- Ensure strong instrumentation and visibility of performance
- Use data to inform decisions – not to justify them retrospectively
- Continuously refine based on evidence, feedback and outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the connective point between Engineering, Commercial and Leadership
- Bring clarity where there is ambiguity and alignment where there is frictionCommunicate product direction, trade‑offs and progress clearly at all levels
What this role is not
To avoid ambiguity, the Product Manager does not:
- Act as a delivery coordinator or project manager
- Own engineering execution or technical architecture decisions
- Operate as a feature factory responding to internal requests
- Sit removed from customers or commercial reality
This role exists to drive product thinking, direction and outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Experience owning or materially shaping product direction within B2B SaaS, platform or technology‑led environments
- Track record of helping build, launch or scale products in growth‑stage, founder‑led or scaling businesses
- Comfortable working closely with engineering teams in technically complex environments
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
- Experience engaging directly with customers and commercial teams
We Also Value Non-Traditional Product Backgrounds
We know great product leaders do not always follow a traditional path. You may be a strong fit if you have built products in start‑ups, founder‑led businesses or entrepreneurial environments, even if your title has not been Senior Product Manager.
If you have demonstrated the ability to:
- Shape product direction from ambiguity
- Translate customer and market signals into clear priorities
- Drive commercial thinking alongside technical delivery
- Build momentum and clarity in fast‑moving environments
We would strongly encourage you to apply.
Skills & Mindset
- Ownership Mentality – you take responsibility for outcomes, not just output
- Builder Mindset – energised by creating clarity, structure and momentum from ambiguity
- Commercial Awareness – you understand how product decisions impact growth and revenue
- Clarity of Thinking – able to simplify complexity and focus teams
- Decisiveness – comfortable making calls with imperfect information
- Pragmatism – you value progress over perfection
- Strong Communication – able to influence at all levels
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in cybersecurity, GRC or developer tooling
- Exposure to AI-enabled products or platforms
- Experience in scaling products within high-growth environments
Why Cognisys?
- A business at a genuine inflection point – where product will define our next phase
- A highly capable technical foundation is already in place
- The opportunity to own and shape a product, not inherit a finished one
- Direct access to leadership and real influence over direction
- A culture built around Ownership, Momentum, Excellence and Together
