The Area Operations Manager is a key, hands‑on managerial role, offering a broad scope of responsibilities and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the performance of an important PPP contract. Based in the Argyll & Bute region, the successful candidate will take ownership of the day‑to‑day operations across three sites, ensuring the delivery of contractual diversion targets in line with council requirements and within agreed budget parameters.
Leading by example, you will champion a Safety First culture, creating a secure and compliant working environment while adhering to all Company SHEQ policies and standards. You will drive performance through effective use of daily and visual management tools, ensuring contract targets are consistently achieved. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing team morale and capability by fostering engagement, supporting development programs, and implementing succession planning. A strong focus on process improvement and problem‑solving will be essential to building a high‑performing, resilient operation.
