We're recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join the Investment Operations Product Team within our Institutional Retirement business area.
You will be responsible for developing the investment operations platform and product set offering to the business. Proactively problem‑solving issues, continuously improving applications and product functionality with a strategic thinking mindset and delivering key developments to improve the product sets.
The role involves defining the product offerings for investment operations, with the main objectives to stand up and support the investment operations product sets, which help improve business functionality and drive efficiency for the investment teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collating, interpreting and documenting business requirements, translating these into clear technical delivery specifications for product development
- Leading cross‑functional collaboration across internal stakeholders and third‑party teams, facilitating issue resolution and driving continuous product improvement within a governance framework
- Participating in and contributing to programme and project initiatives, applying strategic thinking to support the evolution of the product set
- Analysing asset and financial datasets to structure, translate and integrate data into existing product attributes and tooling
- Partnering with portfolio managers, investment teams, risk analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions aligned to the product development strategy
- Engaging with product teams across the organisation to enhance platform and product processes, including sharing insights and presenting improvement ideas
- Co‑ordinating and leading change delivery activity with internal L&G entities to support effective implementation
- Upholding Consumer Duty accountabilities by designing, developing and reviewing products and propositions to ensure they meet target market needs, perform as intended and deliver good customer outcomes
Who we’re looking for:
- A strong understanding of IBOR/ABOR, financial asset classes (fixed income, equities, derivatives, structured finance) and associated reference and party data
- Understanding of asset valuations and curve inputs (inflation, interest rates)
- Experience in the front‑to‑back investment process, including the associated decision‑making elements used in analysing investments and portfolio management
- Proven analytical capability, with the ability to address requirements in a structured and controlled manner
- Demonstrating deep problem‑solving experience within asset management, ideally in a Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) environment, with a strong track record of leading change initiatives
- Applying hands‑on expertise with investment data platforms, including Snowflake, and contributing to large‑scale strategic and programme delivery
- Communicating complex data concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences, leading triage and prioritisation of change aligned to enterprise data objectives while fostering a collaborative learning culture
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Power automates
