Risk & Controls Manager - Media sector

Audit & Risk Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with a household name in the media and entertainment sector. Our client is hoping to find a Risk & Controls Manager to take a leading role on their material controls framework deployment.

This business has defined a formal framework for material controls in line with Provision 29 of the UK Corporate Governance Code, and has developed RACMs for key risk areas such as data privacy. They now need to undertake a 'dry run' of their controls programme to assess which controls are adequate, which areas need remediation, and to test the overall efficacy of their material controls framework. You will play a key role in the deployment of this project and support the continuous improvement and BAU phase of their material controls programme.

The ideal candidate will be a risk and controls specialist with experience working on UK Corporate Governance Code (Provision 29) projects or SOX compliance programmes. You will need to have an adaptable approach to your work and be comfortable communicating in layman's terminology with stakeholders who are not risk and controls specialists. Experience in similar sectors will be highly valued.
