Role

The Peak District National Park Authority seeks a qualified lawyer with experience in procurement and contract law to join our in‑house Legal Team. In this role you will provide high‑quality legal advice and predominantly manage a caseload of procurement and contract‑related matters. You will work with teams across the Authority delivering conservation and landscape recovery projects, and support the Assets Team in managing the Authority’s asset portfolio. Your work will help preserve and protect the unique natural and cultural heritage of the National Park.

About You

We are looking for a fully qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX with:

  • Experience in procurement and contract law and practice
  • Strong organizational, analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach to legal work

Experience of working for a National Park is not essential; we welcome applicants from all practice backgrounds. Candidates who possess transferable skills and a willingness to learn receive on‑the‑job training and mentoring.
