Key Responsibilities
- Lead the construction function across multiple residential schemes, ensuring safe, high‑quality and timely delivery
- Oversee the full build lifecycle, embedding strong programme discipline and buildability from pre‑construction through to completion
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape construction strategy, sequencing, logistics and delivery models
- Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing construction team with clear standards, accountability and strong site leadership
- Collaborate with Commercial, Technical and Pre‑Construction teams to ensure alignment on programme, cost, quality and risk
- Maintain rigorous health and safety standards across all sites, ensuring a culture of safe working practices
- Support early‑stage planning and design reviews to ensure efficiency, buildability and commercial viability
- Drive continuous improvement, implementing systems, processes and ways of working that support growth and operational excellence
- Represent construction at senior leadership level, contributing to business planning, forecasting and long‑term strategy
- Ensure customer satisfaction benchmarks are met, with a focus on quality, handover standards and aftercare performance
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Construction Director or Senior Construction Leader within residential development, housebuilding or mixed‑use delivery
- Strong track record delivering multi‑site programmes across traditional housing and/or mixed‑use or mid‑rise schemes
- A hands‑on, energetic leader who thrives in a fast‑moving, delivery‑focused environment
- Experience shaping or improving construction systems, processes and delivery models
- Ability to build and inspire teams, set standards and drive accountability
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how construction decisions impact programme, cost and quality
- A collaborative approach, working closely with Technical, Commercial and Pre‑Con to ensure alignment
