The Role

This is a hands‑on Creative Director position within a small, highly collaborative agency environment. The role combines creative leadership with active involvement in the development and execution of design work across multiple disciplines.

You will lead the creative direction of the agency, overseeing brand, digital and campaign output while mentoring a team of specialists. Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will remain closely involved in concept development and delivery, ensuring all work meets high standards of creativity, strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

  • Define and maintain creative standards across all output
  • Lead ideation and creative direction across brand, digital and campaign projects
  • Ensure all work demonstrates strong conceptual thinking and craft

Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team
  • Foster a collaborative and high‑performing creative culture
  • Lead critique sessions, workshops and ongoing development initiatives

Hands‑On Creative Delivery

  • Contribute directly to creative work across print and digital
  • Develop concepts across brand identity, campaigns, UX, motion and content
  • Collaborate with designers and digital specialists to deliver high‑quality outputs

Client Engagement

  • Lead creative presentations and workshops
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Challenge briefs to deliver stronger creative solutions

Commercial and Operational Delivery

  • Work with account management and operations to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Support resource planning and team utilisation

Agency Growth and New Business

  • Lead creative input into pitches and proposals
  • Contribute to the agency’s reputation through high‑quality, visible work

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating personal creative contribution across print and digital
  • Multi-disciplinary design capability across brand, digital and campaign work
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant design tools
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate ideas into execution
  • Experience leading creative projects and mentoring teams
  • Confidence presenting to clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with commercial delivery

Ideal Candidate

This role is suited to an Associate Creative Director, Senior Creative Lead or Senior Designer with leadership experience who is ready to step into a Creative Director position.

You will bring a hands‑on approach, a strong sense of ownership and the ability to contribute both strategically and practically within a growing agency environment.
