Senior Civil Engineer

£50k-£60k DOE plus benefits

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Bristol, is seeking a Senior Civil/Drainage Engineer with extensive experience in below-ground drainage (including Section 104) and standard road design (including Section 38/278).

The role also requires expertise in flood risk and drainage assessments, with proficiency in computer modelling packages such as WinDES, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check technical designs, calculations, drawings, reports, and contract documents.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Apply strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a flexible, solution-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in UK highways and drainage projects, including storm and foul water network design, highway layout development, and SuDS systems.
• Expertise in below-ground drainage (Section 104) and road design (Section 38/278).
• Experience in flood risk and drainage assessments.
• Proficiency with computer modelling packages such as WinDES, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent.
• Valid UK driving license, eligible to live and work in the UK.
• Working towards Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
