Senior Drainage Engineer – Edinburgh
In this role you will join an experienced team based in Edinburgh to manage multiple projects from pre‑planning to construction phases for both private and public sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Complete flood risk assessments.
- Conduct transport assessments.
- Prepare surface water management plans.
- Develop drainage strategies.
- Design drainage for mixed‑use developments using Site3D.
- Create detailed designs for residential developments in respect of S278, S38, S104 and S106.
- Design access roads for developments.
- Project manage multiple projects.
- Liaise with clients to discuss project development and resolve design clashes.
- Develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Qualifications
- Background in hydrology or civil engineering.
- Experience with a UK‑based consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and drainage designs for residential, commercial and industrial developments including access roads and highway drainage.
- Experience completing transport assessments is beneficial.
- Confidence to work autonomously and eventually grow a team.
- Strong client liaison and project management skills.
