Senior Buyer - Garden

RHR are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join a successful and long established retailer in South London.

Trading predominantly within the garden tools and supplies category, this client is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their business.

Responsibilities

Develop the product range to maximise financial returns. Work cross‑functionally with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate the best margins and secure favourable terms.

Qualifications

• Proven buyer experience in a similar product category.
• Commercial acumen and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, resilience and a desire to perform at a high level.
• Ability to work quickly in a reactive and proactive environment.
• Numerical aptitude with an analytical, trade‑focused mindset.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office.
• Willingness to work from the office and attend supplier meetings and trade shows as needed.

Compensation & Development

Base salary ranging from £75,000 to £90,000, depending on experience. The role offers a long‑term career path with opportunities for internal development.
