The Role
This role intersects supply chain, project management, and data‑driven decision‑making. The successful candidate will evaluate complex supply and demand signals, influence stakeholders, and ensure smooth product transitions from licensors into Ontic’s operations. It plays a critical part in enabling successful licence transitions, ensuring material availability, production readiness, and long‑term supply stability across programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Transition
- Create CTB (Clear to Build) plans for process validation units as products transition from licensors.
- Work closely with PMO and BAU supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
- Evaluate demand and supply signals from licensors and implement within Ontic’s ERP systems.
- Support inventory transfers and purchase order novations with suppliers.
- Assist with resolving inventory transfer queries to support production readiness.
Production Readiness & Capacity Planning
- Develop and maintain capacity plans to ensure production readiness post‑transition.
- Create process validation production plans and hold stakeholders accountable for delivery timelines.
- Produce labour utilisation reports and short‑term (3‑month) resource capacity plans.
- Escalate capacity and material constraints through IPTs and governance forums.
Forecasting & SIOP Alignment
- Collaborate with ROW SIOP teams to implement forecasts based on licence assumptions.
- Ensure long‑term supply signals are accurately reflected in planning systems.
- Support the creation and maintenance of Line of Balance reports for internal and customer use.
Stakeholder Management & Delivery
- Engage cross‑functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, customer services, and external licensors.
- Provide clear reporting and updates to senior stakeholders and function heads.
- Ensure alignment across teams to successfully deliver transition projects.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Adhere to all relevant legislation and company policies including health & safety, data protection, and quality standards.
- Identify issues proactively and implement effective solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and performance.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) in a business‑related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in production planning, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and planning processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in new product introduction, product transition, or project‑based environments.
- Exposure to SIOP or integrated business planning processes.
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate it into actionable plans.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, change‑oriented environment.
