Mandarin speaking FX/Gold/Precious Metals Trader – What You'll be Doing
- Execute gold or FX trading activities during Beijing Night hours on behalf of Head Office, including receiving trading instructions and executing orders in the external market. Monitor and manage the positions in real time to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution.
- Monitor and manage gold or FX exposure dynamically in line with Head Office risk management framework. Conduct hedging and offsetting transactions within approved limits to control market risk exposure.
- Track and analyse trading P&L on Head Office agency trading, identify key drivers and abnormal movements, and report potential risks to Department Head/Senior Management in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update product manuals, policies, and procedures related to Head Office agency trading to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
- Conduct research on global macroeconomic and financial market developments. Prepare market reports and share at the Group internal channel on a regular basis.
- Maintain close communication with Head Office and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination in trade execution, risk management, and information flow.
- Maintain and expand trading counterparties bases, manage and update the trading agreements such as ISDA, GMRA, NAFMII progress with counterparties and HO. Communicate with counterparties to expand adequate e‑trading platforms.
- Effectively and efficiently complete other tasks assigned by Department Head/Senior Management.
The Skills You’ll Need to Succeed
- Experience in FX or Precious Metals trading background and be able to skillfully utilise diversified financial market tools to manage positions.
- Solid understanding of gold market dynamics and related products, with the ability to execute trades and manage risks independently.
- Good abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English and Mandarin.
- Strong team‑work awareness, able to actively make contribution to the development of the department.
- High sense of responsibility, strong execution skills, and team spirit, with a proactive approach to supporting business development.
- Excellent communication skills and problem‑solving ability.
- Proficiency with Bloomberg, Refinitive (Workspace) and CFETS.
