As a Project Engineer in Works Delivery Signalling, you will provide engineering and assurance expertise, to support a varied project portfolio. From Minor Signalling Renewals, Rolling Programmes and Performance Improvements to Level Crossing renewals and Life Extension Works, our portfolio ranges from carrying out the role of Responsible Signalling Engineer (RSE), Signalling Project Engineer (PE) and Designated Project Engineer (DPE) for projects that span across the whole of Scotland Route. You will assist in managing internal staff site surveillance plans, carry out internal/external competency reviews and assist internal staff with the IRSE licencing process. You will conduct workshops to discuss safety and operational risks, work closely with internal and external design/installation/test teams, assist with material procurement, provide technical work scopes, undertake on-site engineering assurance inspections and manage all engineering aspects of projects from inception to development/design, delivery and hand back. You may also assist with provision of PE/RSE support to our Works Delivery Scotland colleagues in Track, B&C and E&P. Works Delivery Signalling is a fast paced, varied and determined department dedicated to providing safe, compliant and value for money upgrades/renewals to meet the needs of our clients, and are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in engineering management to join our team.
