Position

Java Software Engineer (Associate/AVP) – Glasgow, UK

Key Details

• Experience: 2-5 years
• Mode of Work: Onsite 3-4 days per week (Hybrid option)
• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote the company’s culture of engineering excellence.
• Define, develop and deliver solutions at a top tier investment bank or other esteemed client.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with Java/J2EE, DB technologies.
• Experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot.
• Experience with databases & Linux/Unix.
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Knowledge of database systems: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and optionally NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies.
• Design and development skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in a fast‑paced business environment with proven multitasking ability.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Excellent oral and written communication with stakeholders.
• Team player mentality with disciplined attention to detail.
• Graduate‑level degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
