Overview

The role of the Lead Cancer Nurse Specialist in Urology is a great opportunity to develop your clinical and professional practice along with leadership and management experiences. Excellent communication skills and self‑awareness are required for your own and other staff well‑being. The post holder will work effectively as part of a team and autonomously, acting as an expert practitioner within the Urology team demonstrating highly developed specialist knowledge in the management of patients with urological diseases and their physical and emotional care.

Responsibilities

Team

The Urology Team consists of 13 consultants, 8 clinical nurse specialists and 2 cancer support workers, along with a specialist administrative team to support the patient journey and experience. The team is based in the new Urology Department at Alstone Clinic and includes nurse practitioners, surgical care practitioners and a specialised ward in Cheltenham.
