Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster
Project Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver “better trained sailors to the front line faster”.
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Job is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. Salary will be pro‑rata and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver practical workshop techniques to Royal Navy students in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
- Teach up to 16 students per class
- Work collaboratively with Learning & Development and the team of 10 Instructors
- Support continuous improvement and learning
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in Electrical testing, Hand tools, Soldering and Tool Handling
- Results‑oriented with ability to support quality and delivery improvements across learning programmes
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams
- Knowledge and understanding of business strategy and providing support to identify solutions to deliver that strategy
Desired Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent
- Any teaching, instructing, coaching experience would be an advantage
