An experienced Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) is required to join a small, well-established consultancy based in Birmingham. The company specialises in the residential and commercial sectors, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of innovative and high-profile projects across the region.
This opportunity will support your professional development as an engineer while enabling you to contribute to the delivery of landmark projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical building services engineering designs from concept design through to construction and monitor electrical installation.
- Calculate.
- Provide advice to clients.
- Develop electrical design solutions to satisfy client requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports and drawings.
- Attend client and contractor meetings where required.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections where appropriate.
- Conduct design quality reviews/audits as required.
- Assist in the production of estimates and bids.
- Coordinate further disciplines with architects and engineers.
This role also suits an electrical graduate with some electrical design experience, provided it is within building services only.
Qualifications
Ideally, you will be proficient in industry‑standard software such as Hevacomp, Dialux, and Relux, with additional exposure to Revit being advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
Hybrid working arrangement.
