Job Overview
The company is a leading landfill operator in the UK, engaged in waste to energy solutions. They are seeking an engineer to maintain and service power generation equipment across landfill sites in the South East.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintenance of heavy industrial engines, including CHP engines, Gas Reciprocating Engines and related equipment.
- Perform preventive, reactive and breakdown services.
- Diagnose faults and record keeping of log entries.
- Participate in a 1 in 5 call‑out rota, paid at standby and enhanced rates.
- Receive full training and benefits.
Candidate
- Mechanical Engineer or Mechanic with experience in maintenance and repair.
- Time-served or qualified.
- Experience with petrol/diesel engine maintenance, overhauls and repairs.
- Suitable for those with backgrounds in army, REME, HGV mechanics, power generation, agriculture or heavy plant industries.
- Willing to cover a large part of the South East.
