Due to continued growth, an established building services and maintenance contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their maintenance division.
This is a mobile role covering a range of commercial sites, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and minor works across commercial heating and gas systems.
You’ll be joining a professional and well-established team with long-term contracts in place, offering stability, support and genuine progression opportunities.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive breakdowns and emergency callouts
- Fault finding and repairs on commercial gas / heating systems
- Minor remedial and project works
- Maintaining accurate service records and reports
- Managing van stock and materials
- Participating in an out-of-hours call out rota
- Delivering high levels of customer service on client sites
What They’re Looking For
Applicants should have solid experience within commercial gas maintenance and hold relevant current certifications.
Essential Qualifications
- Recognised apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 in Gas / Mechanical Services
- Current commercial gas qualifications including relevant ACS tickets
- Strong fault‑finding and maintenance experience
- Knowledge of commercial heating systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and IT skills
- Able to work independently and solve problems on site
Desirable Qualifications
- Mechanical / plumbing maintenance experience
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior engineers
