Due to continued growth, an established building services and maintenance contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their maintenance division.

This is a mobile role covering a range of commercial sites, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and minor works across commercial heating and gas systems.

You’ll be joining a professional and well-established team with long-term contracts in place, offering stability, support and genuine progression opportunities.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive breakdowns and emergency callouts
  • Fault finding and repairs on commercial gas / heating systems
  • Minor remedial and project works
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reports
  • Managing van stock and materials
  • Participating in an out-of-hours call out rota
  • Delivering high levels of customer service on client sites

What They’re Looking For

Applicants should have solid experience within commercial gas maintenance and hold relevant current certifications.

Essential Qualifications

  • Recognised apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 in Gas / Mechanical Services
  • Current commercial gas qualifications including relevant ACS tickets
  • Strong fault‑finding and maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of commercial heating systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • Able to work independently and solve problems on site

Desirable Qualifications

  • Mechanical / plumbing maintenance experience
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior engineers
