Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Contractor
Location: Wolverhampton / Dudley
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Package
We are recruiting for a well‑established and growing social housing contractor based in Dudley / Wolverhampton. We are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes.
This is a great opportunity to join a stable business with a strong pipeline of work across the Midlands and long‑term contracts with housing associations and local authorities.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, including:
- Planned maintenance works
- Internal & external refurbishments
- Kitchen and bathroom replacements
- Reroofing programmes
- Voids and occupied refurbishments
Key duties will include:
- Cost control and commercial reporting
- Preparing and agreeing valuations
- Managing subcontractor accounts
- CVRs and final accounts
- Procurement and cost forecasting
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance
About You
Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running in a social housing environment, ideally with:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS within social housing / maintenance
- Strong knowledge of planned works and refurbishment projects
- Commercially astute and detail‑focused
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
