Field Service Engineer – Compactors & Balers

Location: Home-based – Nottingham, Leicester, Northampton & surrounding areas ideal locations

Salary: £32,000 Basic | OTE: £45,000+

Are you a hands‑on engineer looking for a stable, nationwide field role with high earning potential? We are recruiting for a dedicated PPM Service Engineer to join a specialised team who focus solely on a major national supermarket contract.

The Role

You will be responsible for the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of small to mid‑sized waste compactors and balers, ensuring safety, functionality, and maintaining great relationships with site managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct PPMs on vertical and horizontal balers across the UK mainland.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical and hydraulic issues.
  • Provide clear service reports and feedback to both customers and the Service Manager.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven field service background.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge.
  • Mindset: A positive attitude, willingness to undergo further training, and commitment to health and safety.
  • Location: Ideally based along the M1 corridor for easy dispatch.
