Job Description

This is a site-based role supporting construction delivery within the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) scope of works. You’ll work alongside Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring safe, high-quality installation and progress within your assigned area. Relocation support may be available for those moving closer to Bridgwater.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Maintain detailed site logs and expand issues through structured reporting processes
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project communication flow
• Support planning, sequencing, and delivery of construction programme milestones
• Conduct site inspections and assurance activities aligned with project performance indicators
• Lead and participate in site briefings, ensuring key messages are effectively delivered
• Organise contractor meetings, capturing outputs and tracking agreed actions
• Identify risks and implement temporary measures to maintain safe progress
• Assist in logistics coordination and collaboration with site-wide logistics teams

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• SMSTS or IOSH qualification essential for site-based responsibilities
• Experience delivering construction projects within complex infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and recovery planning
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and informative technical reports
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience in high-security or regulated environments is advantageous
• Nuclear experience beneficial or large-scale civil project background
