Control Systems Project Engineer – Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Are you a Project Engineer with experience in control systems within the rail sector or other highly regulated industries?

Do you enjoy working across the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning?

Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Responsibilities

  • Producing designs, specifications, drawings and technical documentation
  • Supporting projects through design, development, testing and commissioning
  • Managing technical interfaces with clients and internal teams
  • Reviewing specifications and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
  • Supporting project delivery to meet technical, financial and time targets
  • Investigating site issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Assisting with bids, quotations and project changes
  • Undertaking site surveys and installation activities when required

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be joining a specialist engineering business delivering control and automation solutions across the rail sector. The team works across a range of systems including SCADA, BMS and safety-related solutions, supporting projects from concept through to delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience within the rail industry, ideally in control systems
  • Strong understanding of SCADA / control system technologies
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (BS, ISO, Network Rail, CDM)
  • Ability to produce and review technical documentation
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle
  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and designs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients
  • Experience with PLC/SCADA tools or programming (desirable)
