Client: Major Public Sector organisation
Location: Hybrid and London (2 days per week onsite)
Contract Length: Until December 2026
Day Rate: £700 per day (Umbrella, inside IR35)

The Role

A confidential public sector organisation is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead delivery on a high‑profile built environment project in London. This is a critical leadership role, driving performance across contractors, designers, and stakeholders on a complex and visible programme.

• Leading end-to-end construction delivery on a flagship project
• Holding contractors accountable for programme, cost, and performance
• Acting as the primary interface between client, design teams, and delivery partners
• Managing risk and mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track
• Coordinating across professional services, contractors, and key stakeholders
• Delivering clear, consistent reporting to senior leadership

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager / Project Director within the built environment, delivering complex construction projects
• Specialist knowledge of construction health & safety compliance
• Strong technical construction knowledge and understanding of delivery methodologies
• Proven track record in financial and cost management
• Experience working with contract frameworks (e.g. JCT, NEC)
• Advanced planning and scheduling expertise (e.g. Primavera, MS Project)
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders

Note: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates will be required to hold, or have the ability to gain and maintain, current, active SC Clearance.
