The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead delivery on a high-profile project within the built environment sector in London. This is a pivotal role requiring strong technical, commercial, and stakeholder management expertise to ensure successful delivery across complex contractor and design environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of a major construction project from inception through to completion
- Manage and hold contractors accountable for programme, cost, and quality performance
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the project remains on track
- Act as the primary interface between the client and design teams (architects and engineers)
- Coordinate across contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Deliver clear and consistent reporting to senior leadership
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out
- Developing and maintaining robust project plans covering scope, cost, schedule, and resources
- Monitoring progress and performance, taking corrective action where needed
- Managing change control processes and ensuring governance is maintained
- Driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
- Ensuring all Health & Safety standards and regulations are upheld
- Significant experience operating as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director within the built environment
- Strong technical understanding of construction delivery and methodologies
- Proven financial and commercial management capability
- Experience working with contract frameworks such as JCT and NEC
- Advanced knowledge of project scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera, MS Project)
- Expert understanding of UK construction Health & Safety regulations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
Mandatory Requirement
- Active SC Clearance (applications without this cannot be considered)
Interview Process
- Two-stage interview process:
- Stage 1: Experience-led interview with the project team
- Stage 2: Final interview with senior leadership
