Consultant Cellular Pathologist
Site: Clinical Sciences Building, Oxford Road Campus (may work across other sites).
Specialities
10 PA postholder; predominantly Diagnostic Cytopathology with flexibility for minor Histopathology; Dermatopathology (Head and Neck skin) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide subspecialised cytopathology services for clinical users, including Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and local General Practices.
- Review cytopathology of patients referred to Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust sites for further investigation or treatment from other hospitals.
- Participate in cancer multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs) in line with areas of subspecialisation.
- Discuss contributions to each sub‑speciality with the successful appointee based on expertise and service requirements.
