Area Sales Account Manager – South of England
Field-Based Sales + an office in Waterlooville.
£55k-£65k Basic | £80k OTE + Car + Benefits.
This well-established and growing business in the animal health sector is looking to hire a high-performing Sales Account Manager to take ownership of a South of England territory. The company manufactures & supplies products into a professional B2B customer base, operating in a consultative sales environment. This is not a cold-start role – you'll inherit a strong portfolio of existing accounts, with a focus on:
- Growing revenue by introducing new products.
- Strengthening relationships with established clients.
- Consistently closing sales opportunities.
What they’re looking for
- A strong account manager who can close sales.
- Someone comfortable securing orders day in, day out.
- Experience selling into independent retailers, SMEs, or similar environments.
- Excellent questioning skills – able to uncover needs & position solutions effectively.
- Exposure to sales training/methodology.
What’s less important
Industry background – full product training will be provided.
The role
- South of England territory.
- 12‑15 days/month in the field meeting clients.
- Office based collaboration with internal marketing, sales & senior leadership team.
- Strategic Account Planning & Execution.
- Hosting Client Seminars & Product Promotions/Launches.
- Attending Exhibitions & Conferences.
Package
- £55k-£65k basic (DoE).
- OTE ~£80k.
