Recruitment Consultant – US Market
Location: Manchester City Centre, within 5 minutes walk of both St Peters and Deansgate tram stops
Salary: £27,000–£40,000 DOE (OTE Year 1 £50–90k)

What you’ll do
As a Recruitment Consultant focused on the US Aerospace and Defence market, you’ll take ownership of a specialist patch and build relationships with high-growth technology companies, scale‑ups and established businesses across the States.
- Managing the full 360 recruitment cycle, from business development and client acquisition through to candidate sourcing, offer management and placement.
- Building strong relationships with US‑based clients, understanding their hiring needs and becoming a trusted recruitment partner.
- Sourcing, engaging and representing high‑quality technical talent across your chosen market.
- Developing a strong personal brand and market presence within your specialist area.
- Using Searchability’s tools, systems and marketing support to generate leads, nurture relationships and grow your desk.
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider group to share insight, leads and best practice.
- Bringing energy, resilience and commercial awareness to every conversation.
About you
You’ll be ambitious, credible and commercially minded, with experience in agency recruitment and a genuine interest in building a successful desk within the US market.
- 2+ years’ experience in agency recruitment, ideally within IT, digital, technology, engineering or a similar specialist market.
- A proven track record of business development, candidate generation and successful placements.
- Confidence speaking with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
- The ability to manage your own desk, pipeline and priorities.
- A consultative communication style and strong commercial awareness.
- The flexibility to work adjusted hours to support US clients and candidates.
- The ability to commute to our Manchester city centre office.
- Previous experience recruiting into the US market would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential if you have the right mindset, work ethic and recruitment fundamentals.
