The role

At Rightmove we are investing heavily in the future of our business – growing our existing revenue streams, exploring new commercial opportunities, leveraging AI, upgrading infrastructure and onboarding new tooling and capabilities.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Project Manager to lead initiatives that typically span multiple product, platform and business teams. You will be expected to drive outcomes, bring structure to ambiguous problems and ensure progress across complex dependencies.

We run lean and value people who go beyond narrow role definitions. In this role, you’ll be expected to get close to the detail, building a deep understanding of your projects and carrying out hands‑on analysis where required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of project outcomes ensuring alignment, collaboration, and effective delivery across all involved stakeholders
  • Create and maintain project plans, ensuring that dependencies are well understood
  • Ensure scope is managed effectively and projects stay focused on agreed goals and outcomes
  • Establish and maintain effective governance and status reporting without disrupting Agile practices
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and take responsibility for project communication
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and blockers and ensure risk mitigation activities are undertaken
  • Where required, agree and co‑ordinate business change activity to minimise adverse impact on stakeholders
  • Track project costs and manage procurement activity where necessary
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lead retros to identify actionable improvements to our ways of working
  • Perform detailed analysis to understand problems, help shape solutions and support decision‑making

Essential

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Repeated experience of managing a wide range of cross‑team projects, particularly in the software delivery space
  • Experience of working for a tech‑focused company with a modern product‑led organisation structure
  • Strong working knowledge of agile methodologies, agile at scale and more traditional project‑management techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority, influencing diverse teams with varying priorities
  • Demonstrated experience of performing detailed analysis within complex projects

Ideally

  • Past experience of hands‑on roles in technology teams (and ideally as a business analyst or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience of leading business change activities to ensure adoption of new systems and ways of working
  • Familiarity with Jira
