Job Description:

The role of Procurement Officer involves overseeing procurement activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing within the Not For Profit sector. Based in Wolverhampton, this position requires a candidate with a strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement processes to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulations.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve value for money.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the organisation’s objectives.
  • Prepare and analyse procurement reports to inform decision‑making and ensure transparency.
  • Support the Procurement & Supply Chain department in achieving operational efficiency.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record‑keeping of all procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver tailored procurement solutions.

Qualifications

  • A solid understanding of procurement principles and supply chain management within the Not For Profit sector.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills to achieve cost‑effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in preparing and analysing procurement‑related data and reports.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with policies.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and suppliers.

Benefits

  • Starting salary £36,200 rising with service.
  • 30 days annual leave, plus Christmas closure (extra 3 days), plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working: 1–2 days on site in Wolverhampton.
