Overview
Export Freight Forwarder – Location: Whiteley, Hampshire. Salary: Up to £35,000, depending on experience. Benefits: 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, bonus scheme, and more.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day export freight forwarding operations
- Arrange collections, deliveries, and transport with carriers, hauliers, and partners
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including customs-related paperwork
- Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to customers
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, carriers, hauliers, and overseas agents
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
- Ensure all shipments are handled in line with company procedures and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate records and deliver a high level of customer service throughout
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within freight forwarding, ideally with a strong export focus
- Import experience would be an advantage
- Good understanding of export procedures and freight documentation
- Knowledge of customs processes would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments
- Good IT and organisational skills
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
